Accessibility of Krosno by public transport
Abstract: Krosno is a subregional city with county rights, located in the south-western part of the Podkarpackie Province. The aim of this article is to comprehensively examine the level of transport accessibility in Krosno, taking into account all public transport subsystems – urban transport (MKS Krosno), railways and transport services provided by private bus operators. The analysis took into account accessibility in three basic dimensions: spatial, demographic and temporal, broken down by city districts. The analysis was carried out on the basis of data valid on Wednesday, which was taken as a representative working day of the week.

Analysis and evaluation of the public transport system in Zawiercie
Abstract: Public transport plays a key role in the functioning of modern cities, affecting citizen mobility, quality of life, economic development and environmental protection. In an era of growing challenges related to urbanisation, climate change and traffic congestion, an efficient public transport system becomes not only a convenient alternative to individual transport, but also an element of sustainable development. The article focuses on assessing the current state of urban and suburban transport, identifying the main problems and presenting proposals for improvement. The study is based on an analysis of legal acts, strategic documents, statistical data, field observations and interviews with representatives of local authorities and inhabitants. This approach allows for a comprehensive consideration of the topic and the formulation of conclusions that can be used to further development of public transport in Zawiercie.

Market analysis of bus drivers in urban public transport
Abstract: The labour market for bus drivers in the urban public transport sector in Poland is in crisis due to significant staff shortages. The analysis presented in this article summarizes key findings on the driver shortage, recruitment challenges and market dynamics for the period 2019-2025. The effectiveness of current recruitment strategies and the functioning of the labour market were assessed, and potential future trends were identified in several Polish cities. The analysis highlights the continuing challenges related to driver shortages and retention, summarises the effectiveness of various recruitment approaches, and draws conclusions on the fundamental importance of solving the problems of the bus driver labour market to ensure the sustainable development of urban public transport in Poland.
